Some links to retailers on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, we may receive a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra and does not change the price you pay.

The rules we hold ourselves to

• Inclusion is never bought. A shoe is in the index because it is a current race shoe, not because there is a commission attached. Several shoes here have no affiliate relationship at all.
• Ranking is never bought. Ordering is produced by the calculator from the filters you set. There is no field in the data that could promote a shoe, and no brand has ever been offered one.
• Verdicts are never bought. Where a shoe is poor value the site says so, including shoes we earn on. The Adios Pro Evo 2 is the most expensive shoe per race you can buy, and it says that on its own sheet.
• No sponsored reviews, ever. No brand has paid for coverage, been given copy approval, or seen a page before publication.
• Affiliate links are marked. Monetised outbound links carry rel="sponsored" so that search engines and readers can identify them.

Why this matters

A site whose recommendations follow its commissions is worth nothing to the person reading it, and not much to the advertiser either. The only reason to trust a number here is that the method producing it is published and applied identically to every shoe. That constraint is the product.

Prices

Prices shown are UK RRP and are used for the cost calculations. Actual retail prices move constantly, and racing shoes are discounted heavily once a new generation lands. Always check the live price at the retailer — a shoe that looks poor value at RRP often is not at 40% off.
